Wilbrod is currently Executive Director of the Uganda Bankers Association. He has over 25 years of work experience, 20 of which at senior management level in Manufacturing, Distribution (especially FMCG), the NGO world and Banking, across East Africa.

 

Wilbrod has in the past served as Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, United Bank for Africa (UBA) Uganda; Executive Director & Head of Business, UBA Bank Uganda; Retail Banking Head, DFCU Bank Uganda; Channels Head, Barclays Bank Uganda; Financial Controller, Sara Lee H&BC (E.A); Budget Head, Colgate Palmolive (E.A); among others.

 

He is a member of the Uganda Bankers Association as well as the Institute of Banking & Financial Services. Wilbrod holds a Master’s Degree in Strategic Management from the East and Southern Africa Management Institute (ESAMI) as well as a Degree in Finance from Makerere University.

Damalie has over 17 years of experience in banking and financial services. She has previously served as Head of Retail Banking at Orient Bank and also managed the high value customer segments at DFCU and Standard Chartered Banks in Uganda. She has demonstrated unique capabilities in structuring innovative financing products for non-traditional markets and leadership in banking for social impact.

 

Damalie holds a Masters Degree in Economic Policy and Planning from Makerere University and an Economics Degree from Makerere University. She also completed the CEO Apprenticeship Programme of the Strathmore University Business School Nairobi and CEO Forum of Uganda.

Nicholas delivered over 15 years of Corporate, Commercial and Private Banking experience, pioneering sales and risk management initiatives with top Banking groups including Stanbic, Absa and Ecobank. Immediately before the co-founding of Fincon, Nick had led the Corporate Banking businesses of UBA and Orient Banks in Uganda. At Fincon he has developed and delivered financial services training for banks including Centenary, Ecobank, PostBank, KCB, Mercantile, Housing Finance, Opportunity and others.

 

He has also delivered training under the Technical Assistance Programme of the European Investment Bank (EIB) and also on the investment programme of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI-UK).

 

He is an International Trade Specialist (ITS) accredited by the Institute of Export (UK), Completed the International Finance Corporation (IFC) Global Trade Finance Programme and has undertaken specialized trade finance training with the International Chamber of Commerce. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Commerce.

 

Nick volunteers with the Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF), where he mentors young entrepreneurs across Africa. He has also worked with NSSF and other corporate entities to deliver financial training to investment clubs, SACCOs and other collective financial organizations across Uganda.
